QUINCY (WGEM) – Students at the Freedom School at Bella Ease in Quincy, have been learning about black history in America all this month. This is where middle and high school students learn about four components; Cultural history, identity, literature and social change.   WGEM – “Quincy students of all ages got to spend their Monday off school exploring job ideas and opportunities at Bella Ease for the career prep day. The organization partnered with Blessing Health to showcase various aspects of healthcare field, along with general career skill building.”  

Herald-Whig – “Bella Ease administrators are hoping that they can open their new facility at 707 Broadway by mid-May… Dennis Williams, Program Director for Bella Ease, said the building and grants to fund it became available. Therefore, Bella Ease is in a position to improve its communication and connectivity with those in need.”

The county had agreed to award no more than $1 million of ARPA funds to eligible nonprofits.”

Bella Ease, one of the organizations looking to receive funds, operates an after school program, Quincy Teen Reach, where kids get help with homework, have access to internet and technology for schooling…”
