What is College Bound?
College or trade school is an important step for many of our teens to begin to take their first steps into adulthood, but it can be difficult to know where to start. Through any step of the process, we are here to help!
First-generation college students can find assistance through this program in areas that typically lie outside of the support received through other organizations, scholarships, or financial aid.
No matter what you’re looking at studying, any teen or young adult that wants to continue their education can receive support through the services listed below.
- Help finding and choosing a quality school
- Setting up and attending college visits with students
- Assistance in completing college applications
- Guidance in requesting financial assistance through FAFSA, scholarships, and grants
- Clarification to understand paperwork from schools
- Purchasing school and dorm supplies not covered by other funding sources
Students can enter our College Bound program as early as their Junior year of High School. Anyone that has already completed high school and is wanting to go back to school can sign up at any time.
To set up an appointment, either send us a message from the CONTACT US page or reach out to our College Bound Staff directly. Their contact information is listed below.
Mentorship and College Bound
Many of our College Bound students have found success because of the help of a mentor. Adults that have been through the college process and can provide invaluable encouragement and support to first-generation college students. We pair up mentors with students to develop one-on-one relationships over the course of a year.
If being a mentor to a college-aged student is something you would be interested in, please check out our Volunteer page. We are always open to community members getting involved. Bella Ease couldn’t do it without you!
